Responsibilities Leading the execution of electrical engineering activities on assigned projects or defined project scopes. Supporting project planning and delivery, including participation in relevant meetings, preparation of progress reports, and compliance with required checking and quality assurance procedures. Ensuring project scope is clearly defined and that changes are managed in accordance with project change management processes. Providing technical input and support during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases, including: Preparation and review of electrical equipment and materials requisitions Technical bid evaluations Review of vendor documentation and purchase orders Coordinating electrical engineering activities with multidisciplinary teams (process, instrumentation, mechanical, piping, automation) to ensure integrated project delivery. Identifying and resolving discrepancies between Worley and client standards and requirements. Supporting the development and technical review of electrical engineering deliverables. Providing technical guidance and mentoring to intermediate and junior engineers and designers as required. Communicating effectively with internal teams, clients, and project stakeholders. Proactively identifying technical issues and risks, developing appropriate solutions, and escalating when needed. Qualifications Accredited Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with APEGA, or eligibility to obtain registration. Solid experience in electrical engineering roles on multidisciplinary projects. Demonstrated ability to develop, review, and interpret electrical designs, drawings, and technical documentation. communication, coordination, and analytical skills. General electrical calculation in North American Environment ( North Americal standards- ratings – design standards) Familiarity and knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code ( NEC- American equivalent od CEC is ok as well) Design of MV and LV MCC’s Design of MV and LV power system and network Design of cable trays Design of lighting systems Grounding system design Knowledge of North American brands ( major players in the market) E-house / E-room Layout design Electrical Heat tracing system PLC+ DCS design Control panel and control circuit design Knowledge and expertise in electrical deliverables such as ( not limited to): SLD, 3 Line ,motor and control schematics, layouts, MTO, lighting, Installation details, MCC and Switchgear layout/ elevation, heat tracing , schedules, load list, equipment list, ETAP experience ( ETAP is an electrical system, study software which will generate load flow, short circuit, arc flash, coordination motor starting , etc. reports and results) For applicants based in the province of British Columbia, the salary range is $125,970 to $170,430. Requirements
Requires an accredited degree in Electrical Engineering and P.Eng registration with APEGA or eligibility to obtain it. Candidates must have solid experience in North American electrical standards and proficiency with ETAP software.
