Role Description The Process Engineer role at Worley is a full-time, on-site position based in Calgary, AB. In this role, the Process Engineer will develop and optimize process designs, perform process simulations, and support engineering deliverables for projects in energy, chemicals, and resources. Daily activities include preparing process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and equipment specifications, as well as contributing to process safety reviews and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. The Process Engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams, provide technical input during project planning and execution, and assist in troubleshooting process issues during installation, commissioning, and operation. The role also involves supporting sustainability-focused initiatives and applying data-driven methods to improve efficiency, reliability, and environmental performance. Qualifications Strong foundation in Process Engineering and Chemical Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to complex industrial projects. Proficiency in Process Design, including development of process flow diagrams, equipment sizing, and system optimization. Experience in Process Control, including familiarity with control strategies, instrumentation, and integration with automation systems. Well-developed Analytical Skills for data interpretation, performance evaluation, and problem-solving in technical environments. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline. Experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, UniSim, or similar) and relevant engineering tools. Knowledge of industry standards, safety practices, and regulatory requirements in energy, chemicals, or resources sectors. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and engage with customers and stakeholders. Relevant professional engineering registration or eligibility for registration is an asset. Experience with sustainability-focused projects, including renewable energy or CCUS, is beneficial.
