The Opportunity Design What Comes Next Join our growing Water and Wastewater team as a Senior Water & Wastewater Process Engineer / Project Manager and play a pivotal role in delivering infrastructure that supports healthier, more resilient communities across Canada. As a trusted technical leader and project manager, you’ll guide municipal water and wastewater treatment projects from concept through commissioning while helping clients address today’s most pressing water challenges. Working alongside a collaborative team of experienced professionals, you'll combine technical excellence, innovation, and leadership to create lasting impact for communities and the environment. Your Impact * Champion health, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across all phases of project delivery. * Lead multidisciplinary water and wastewater treatment projects from planning and design through construction and commissioning. * Develop innovative process designs for municipal treatment facilities, including process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and detailed engineering specifications. * Conduct feasibility studies, technology evaluations, and economic assessments that support critical infrastructure investment decisions. * Manage procurement and tendering activities for major process equipment while ensuring compliance with client and regulatory requirements. * Drive project performance by managing scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables to achieve successful outcomes. * Mentor and develop junior and intermediate engineers, fostering technical growth and project excellence. * Collaborate with clients, partners, and internal specialists to deliver integrated solutions that create long-term value for communities. The Skills That Set You Apart * 10+ years of experience delivering water and wastewater treatment projects, including planning, design, and project management responsibilities. * Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is considered an asset. * Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation, or eligibility for registration with APEGA. * Demonstrated expertise in municipal water and wastewater treatment processes, facilities, and associated infrastructure. * Strong technical writing and proposal development skills, with the ability to lead complex submissions from initiation to completion. * Proven ability to independently lead projects and coordinate multidisciplinary teams in a consulting environment. * Experience supporting business development initiatives and building trusted client relationships. * Strong understanding of permitting processes, contract administration, commissioning activities, and construction support services. * Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel periodically to client sites and project locations.
