Job Title:- Desktop Support/Endpoint support technician Location:- Burnaby, BC V3N 5G4, Canada (5 days onsite) Duration:- Contract (1099) Note: Need someone who can speak French and English fluently. Position Overview The Refresh Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining the organization's technology infrastructure by managing the end-to-end lifecycle of laptop assets. This position is responsible for the timely collection of out-of-warranty devices and the seamless deployment of replacement laptops to internal team members, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations. Key Responsibilities: Asset Collection & Recovery: Coordinate the retrieval of out-of-warranty laptops from internal team members, ensuring all devices are properly accounted for and processed in accordance with company asset management policies. Device Deployment: Prepare, configure, and deploy replacement laptops to end users, ensuring each device meets organizational standards and is ready for immediate use. Lifecycle Management: Track and manage laptop warranty status, proactively identifying devices due for replacement and maintaining an accurate inventory of all hardware assets. User Communication & Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for team members throughout the refresh process, providing clear timelines, instructions, and support to ensure a smooth transition between devices. Data Integrity & Security: Ensure proper data migration, backup, and secure wiping of retired devices in compliance with IT security protocols and data governance policies. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of all refresh activities, including deployment schedules, asset tracking logs, and status reports for leadership review. Collaboration: Work closely with IT support, procurement, and facilities teams to coordinate logistics, resolve issues, and optimize the refresh process.
