Lab Technologist Location: Foster Creek, Alberta (FIFO from Calgary or Edmonton) Type: 1-year contract Pay Rate Range: $29/h - $42/h Schedule: 7 Days On / 7 Days Off | Day Shift Only About the Role We are seeking an experienced Lab Technologist to join a site operations team at Foster Creek. This is an excellent opportunity for laboratory professionals who thrive in a fast-paced industrial environment and are passionate about quality, safety, and analytical excellence. Key Responsibilities Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing on process and production samples Analyze and interpret laboratory data to ensure accuracy and reliability Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and equipment Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements Maintain accurate documentation, records, and reports Assist with validation and implementation of laboratory methods and procedures Work collaboratively with operational and technical teams Participate in continuous improvement initiatives supporting laboratory excellence Qualifications Diploma in Chemical Laboratory Technology or Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline Minimum 5 years of laboratory experience in an industrial, energy, petrochemical, mining, or related setting Strong understanding of laboratory testing procedures and equipment Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Effective communication and teamwork abilities Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence Schedule & Travel 7 days on / 7 days off rotation Day shifts only 11.43-hour shifts Fly-in/Fly-out from Calgary or Edmonton Additional Requirements Safety-sensitive position Drug and alcohol testing required Driver's abstract required Audiometric testing required H2S Alive certification required Preferred Backgrounds Candidates with experience as: Chemical Laboratory Technologist Process Lab Technologist Oil Sands Laboratory Analyst Refinery Lab Technologist Industrial Chemist Quality Control Technologist What We Offer Brunel connects specialists like you with world‑class opportunities across the globe. Requirements

Candidates must hold a diploma in Chemical Laboratory Technology or a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry along with at least 5 years of industrial laboratory experience. Additional requirements include a valid Class 5 Driver's Licence and H2S Alive certification.
