Dock and Door Service Technician

Perks and Benefits * Competitive compensation, no flat rate * Yearly tool allowance * Tuition reimbursement for any program or course of your choice * Comprehensive benefits such as: medical insurance, dental, vision, long term/short term disability, life insurance, and more * Pension plan * Boot allowance * A provided service vehicle with gas, insurance, and repair expenses covered * Company provided cellphone * Opportunities for advancement and ongoing professional development * State-of-the-art training facilities The Role Responsible for driving to customer locations and installing, servicing, and repairing dock and door equipment and other industrial building accessories. * Travel to customer locations to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, install, service, and maintain all types of dock and door equipment. * Schedule and coordinate service in accordance with daily repair schedule. * Confer with customer on problems and issues. * Quote repair costs. * Perform safety and operational tests. * Complete and process necessary paperwork. * Maintain accurate vehicle parts inventory levels in compliance with Branch Guidelines. Pick up parts and replenish vehicle’s inventory. * Maintain all required Safety Equipment supplied with vehicle. * Complete all training as required. * Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements * Able to safely operate lift trucks and vehicles/service vehicles * Able to sit, stand, walk, bend/stoop/twist, squat, reach below knee level, grip/grasp, work with arm outstretched, and work above chest level * Able to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs. * Able to occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 100 lbs., reach above shoulder level, climb stairs, climb ladders, torque, use vibratory tools, and pinch grip * Exposure to varying weather elements Education and Qualifications * High school diploma * Valid driver’s license * Seven to ten years of prior experience (preferred) * Good mechanical aptitude with knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics * Able to read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics * Able to perform Arc welding of mild steel * Must be familiar with tools and equipment * Basic computer skills and working knowledge Microsoft Office programs * Good organizational, customer service, communication and interpersonal skills At Crown Lift Trucks, we believe in fairness and transparency. The technician is responsible for traveling to customer sites to install, service, and repair dock and door equipment and industrial accessories. Duties include diagnosing technical issues, quoting repair costs, and maintaining vehicle parts inventory.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and preferably seven to ten years of experience. Proficiency in hydraulics, electrical systems, and arc welding is required.
