3D Scanning & Metrology Technician (Creaform)

About The Job We are hiring a 3D Scanning & Metrology Technician to support automotive inspection, validation, and launch activities using advanced Creaform scanning systems. This role ensures dimensional accuracy for new and existing automotive components. Pay: $60000 - $65000. Responsibilities Perform 3D scanning using Creaform systems (HandySCAN, MetraSCAN). Conduct dimensional inspections and GD&T analysis. Compare scan data to CAD models and identify deviations. Support PPAP and new product launches. Generate detailed inspection reports for engineering and OEMs. Collaborate with engineering and production teams on quality issues. Maintain scanning equipment and calibration standards. Support reverse engineering projects. Requirements 5+ years 3D scanning/metrology experience. Strong GD&T and automotive inspection knowledge. Experience with Creaform + VXelements/VXinspect, & Polyworks software. Ability to interpret CAD models and drawings. Automotive manufacturing experience required.

Perform 3D scanning and dimensional inspections on automotive components using Creaform systems to ensure accuracy against CAD models. Generate detailed inspection reports and collaborate with engineering teams to support PPAP and new product launches.

Requires over 5 years of experience in 3D scanning and metrology within the automotive manufacturing industry. Proficiency in GD&T, Polyworks, and Creaform software is essential.
