Description
The Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering in the Schulich School of Engineering invites applications for a Research Coordinator. This Full-time Fixed Term position is for approximately 12 months (based on length of grant funding), with the possibility of extension.
Reporting to the Principal Investigator, the incumbent will coordinate all research related activities under GeoS's and the PI's responsibility, including all related support staff, coordination and tracking of associated budget, grant writing and submissions, proposal development, grant implementation, data collection, data management, literature searches, and management of research reporting. Peak periods (typically between May and August) may be stressful as summer research students join the research team. As the research team supports field pilots, there may be required weekend/evening hours. The position will be situated in an environment where there may be ambiguity, continuous change and shifting priorities. It is anticipated that this position may require some flexibility in terms of hours per week (to be mutually agreed) and will require local travel and work off-campus at times.
