Summary:

Job Duties:

  • Evaluate, plan, coordinate and install computer and network hardware and software applications;
  • Manage the bank’s Office 365 administration, Intune, Defender, SecureScore, Barracuda, on premise AD and Azure AD as the System Administrator;
  • Improve compliance and security in alignment with PCI requirements for the financial institution;
  • Assist network users with user settings, firewall settings, secure access, connectivity and other technical issues;
  • Manage VPN access for members of the financial institution;
  • Utilize NinjaRMM to manage, patch and support company endpoints;
  • Conduct technical duties to support remote working for members of the financial institution;
  • Monitor computer and network performance for the financial institution;
  • Maintain performance of over 90 servers and improve efficiency for the financial institution;
  • Configure PBX work phone;
  • Troubleshoot and repair network equipment and connections;
  • Conduct testing as required by the system and planned changes;
  • Conduct routine maintenance in accordance with network protocols;
  • Conduct and ensure data backups and contingency plans are in place;
  • Utilize and optimize Veeam for data backups;
  • Work closely with management with respect to IT infrastructural needs and ongoing improvement;
  • Manage and support IT systems for an executive’s office; and
  • Other duties assigned and consistent with the role.

Terms of Employment:

Permanent and full-time (40 hours/week).

Wage:

$33.65 per hour

Benefits Package offered:

2 weeks (10 days) vacation per annum.

Entitlement to employer-employee co-paid benefits after 90 day waiting period, including comprehensive benefits package (subject to change pursuant to signed employment agreement), which includes extended medical and dental coverage.

Annual performance review. Eligible for discretionary bonus after 3 month employment based on employment performance and overall performance of the business, in accordance with Digital Commerce Bank’s policies and procedures.

Eligible for Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) Program, subject to Digital Commerce Bank’s policies and procedures.

Skills Requirements:

Education Requirements:

Completion of a college or other program in computer science, network administration, web technology or a related field is required.

Work Experience Requirements:

7 - 12 months experience in network administration roles is required.

Experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and managing network infrastructure, security and connectivity in a banking environment, as well as in installing and upgrading network and computer equipment and software is required.

Prior experience working for a financial institution or similar environments is required.

Experience with managing Office 365 administration, Intune, on premise AD and Azure AD is required.

Knowledge and implementation of PCI requirements is required.

Knowledge and experience with PBX work phones, NinjaRMM and Veeam is required.

Experience working with Interac, Visa and MasterCard from business customer ends is required.
