Intermediate Environmental Professional(s)

The Work:

  • Alberta Oil & Gas and Infrastructure Construction projects.
  • Working in an environmental monitor / assessor role within a multi-discipline, virtual, team environment.
  • Primary tasks include wildlife sweeps, wetland and watercourse assessments, water quality monitoring, and fish salvages.
  • Helping our clients maintain compliance with various Acts, Regulations, and contract requirements.
  • Hybrid role working both in the office and field (70/30)
  • The fieldwork varies from construction sites to challenging forested field conditions and requires daily driving to an from site.

What you bring to the table:.

  • A love for being on the road and working in both natural and construction environments is essential.
  • Experience with ATVs, UTVs, pulling trailers and driving on oilfield roads.
  • Physically fit with the ability to walk long distances in challenging field conditions.
  • A history of exemplary fieldwork and accountability to successful project results.
  • Mapping / GIS experience considered an asset.
  • 3-7 years of relevant industry experience.
  • A diploma or bachelor's degree in conservation biology, land reclamation, natural resource management or forestry
  • Experience as a Crew Leader
  • The ability to liaise with clients and make professional in-field decisions.


The Workplace:


  • This is a hybrid position, which includes working in a virtual environment from your home office as well as 3-7 day field shifts, working in remote areas.
