Maintenance Technician/Millwright-Evening Shift

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician IV to join our Plant 3 Manufacturing team on the evening shift.

The Maintenance Technician IV is responsible for performing preventative maintenance according to existing schedule, do equipment repairs and modifications following workorders, do regular inspections of equipment, utilities and building and create workorders on findings.

The Ideal Candidate will bring a proven track record in a manufacturing setting and demonstrated multitasking ability in a multi-cultural workforce. They will bring knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical troubleshooting and ability to weld mild steel, stainless steel and alumina.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Technician IV responsibilities will include:

  • Review work orders in the system
  • Prioritize work orders and complete them on time.
  • Coordinate timing with Production Supervisors to maintain production lines productivity.
  • Ensure shutdown time of production line is minimized
  • Close workorders in the system.
  • Assist project teams or Supervisors in executing projects
  • Complete small projects.
  • Design and build tooling on request.
  • Repair existing tooling
  • Generate proposals on new tooling or tooling improvements.
  • Work on production line if required to build product components.
  • Build product or packaging prototypes.
  • Get familiar with all production equipment and lines.
  • Generate proposals on production lines efficiency increase.
  • Keep highest level of housekeeping on workplace and in parts warehouse.
  • Participate on inventory counts in parts warehouse.
  • Perform all the work according safely following all regulations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Do safety evaluations prior performing any work.

Qualifications include:

  • Diploma and/or certification as a Journeyman (Millwright/Welder)
  • Courses related to maintenance troubleshooting and repair
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance (2 years in-house, 3 years in related industry)
  • Scheduling and maintenance planning experience
  • Must pass pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Testing

This is a night shift position that runs from 3:00 pm-11:30pm Monday-Friday. There would be a night shift premium for this role.

For the first six (6) weeks of employment there will be training on the day shift before moving over into the evening shift.
