Position Summary:

Position: Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter (4 positions available)

Type: Project - 10 weeks

Location: CNUL Albian CM

Schedule: 7 on/7 off - Compressed Work Schedule

Role Summary:

Bouchier is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter to join our team for a 10-week project supporting our camp maintenance site. We are looking for someone who is not only skilled in plumbing but also interested in short-term project work and contributing to our team's success in maintaining our camp facilities. As a Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter, you will play a crucial role in installing Natural Gas Piping for this project.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of Natural Gas distribution lines.
• Install underground polyethylene pipe, above ground carbon steel pipe, fittings, pressure gauges, PCV's , PSV's and pipe supports to transport the NG from the Tie-in point to the individual buildings.
• Keep up to date with current safety regulations, requirements, and training for the various NG systems the company installs and maintains.
• Locate and mark positions for pipe connections and passage holes in walls.
• Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings.
• Measure and cut pipes using hand and power tools.
• Thread pipe.
• Join pipes using couplings (mechanical).
• Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
• May prepare cost estimates.
• Receive and complete work orders.
• Provide training, mentorship and support for Apprentices as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

• Qualified in Alberta as a Journeyman Plumber.
• Journeyman Gas Fitter Class A or B is preferred.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License is required.
• CSTS and OSSA Regional Orientation or OSSA BSO (Basic Safety Orientation before December 31, 2018) or CSO (Common Safety Orientation after January 1, 2019) certification.
• Extensive gas fitting experience.
• Proficiency in threading techniques.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with DR11 Poly gas line.
• Minimum three years of experience in an oilfield industrial environment.
• High School Diploma preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Thorough knowledge of plumbing system maintenance and repairs.
• Strong mathematical, scientific, mechanical, and logical reasoning abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a work team.
• Fluent in spoken, written, and reading English.
