Salary: $2,637.00 - $3,976.00 Bi-Weekly

We're seeking a skilled Class A Gasfitter (Operator) that will be responsible for the installation, inspection, adjustment, and servicing of natural gas equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency in line with company and regulatory standards. This role requires independent work as well as leading and coordinating team efforts.

What You Get to Do:

  • Lead and execute the installation, inspection, and maintenance of natural gas equipment and systems.
  • Coordinate and oversee the work of others, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Respond to emergencies, ensuring adherence to safety procedures.
  • Liaise with customers, contractors, and external representatives to resolve inquiries and coordinate gas line and meter requirements.
  • Conduct investigations and complete reports on emergency actions and property damage.
  • Promote safety culture and perform safety inspections.
  • Manage materials and supplies inventory.
  • Conduct quality assurance and inspections on service-related work.
  • Provide on-the-job and formal technical training to others.
  • Inspect vehicles and specialized equipment to ensure adequate maintenance.

What You Bring:

  • Grade 12 or G.E.D.
  • Class A Alberta Gasfitter Ticket preferred, will consider Class B Gasfitter Ticket.
  • Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's License
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations and natural gas industry codes.
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures pertaining to the gas distribution system is desirable.
  • Ability to interpret plans, working drawings and material specification is desirable.
  • Willingness to be on stand-by for emergencies and participate in shift schedules.
  • Related experience in the upstream gas utility system, meter reading and AMR devices is an asset.

Location Requirements:

Residency within the Jasper service territory, within 30 minutes of the Jasper office (30 Stan Wright Dr, Jasper, AB)
