CNC Operator- Machine Shop(night shift)
NOV Nisku Manufacturing have opening for you to join our dynamic team as an CNC Operator. NOV is committed to the growth of this facility and continue to invest to significantly expand our CNC machining capacity and capability, with the addition of the latest technology CNC machines.
To safely and effectively operate this equipment we are looking for the very best associates to join us who; accept a challenge, and enjoy machining technology.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures and read measurement tools.
- Set up and operate CNC machines to maximize the use of materials and equipment.
- Operate and handle materials and tools in a safe manner.
- Report any environmental and health & safety issues that arise.
- Select and use the appropriate precision measuring instruments to ensure components are machined to the specific tolerance and surface finishes.
- Other duties assigned
Education & Experience:
- Solid knowledge, skills and experience with CNC machining lathes and Mills is preferred.
- Experience with blueprints and various symbols regarding tolerances, surface finishes is preferred.
- Understanding of inserts and tools required for specific machining procedures
HSE:
- Able to work in shop environment (noise, fumes, standing) and lifting unassisted 35 lb.
- Position is deemed safety sensitive and will require passing of a pre-employment physical and Drug & Alcohol test.
