Modern Niagara Edmonton is looking for a out of town Foreperson that will help by leading and supporting the day-to-day operations of our field teams. An energetic, motivated, multi-tasker who shares our values and passion for making buildings work is who we are looking for.

OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plans and leads the execution of project mechanical system installations to a high level of productivity.
  • Manage a field team with a focus on safety.
  • Facilitate a site work culture that leads to productivity and worker engagement.
  • Coordinate installations with other trades.
  • Focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Orders tools and material as required to maintain the productive flow of installations and stay ahead of schedule.
  • Creates, tracks, and executes a project labour plan.
  • Performs work related duties when required to do so.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Three or five years of experience as a plumbing Foreperson.
  • Red Seal plumbing ticket required.
  • Local 488 membership required, if not currently an active member.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and schedule work to get ahead and stay ahead of schedule.
  • Excellent organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schematics.
  • Customer-focused & resourceful
  • Ability to identify and estimate change orders.
  • Knowledge and skill in the use of the tools and equipment of the trade.
  • Experience in Commercial, Institutional, and Hospital projects is an asset.
  • Knowledge of IPC in Health Care Facilities is considered an asset.
