We currently have 2 openings for Truck Drivers to support a project located in Sparwood, BC for a 10 month contract. This will be shared shift work to transport our employees from the airport to site and from camp to site for the workday. Schedules will be determined as per availability with a guarantee of 40 hours a week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate company vehicles to transport workers
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations and company policies while driving
  • Maintain a clean vehicle, interior and exterior
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and report any issues or maintenance needs promptly
  • Provide excellent customer service to passengers, ensuring a pleasant journey
  • Follow designated routes and schedules, adjusting for traffics or unforeseen delays as necessary
  • Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption and passenger counts for reporting purposes
  • Collaborate with other team members or departments to coordinate transportation logistics effectively
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management to support the overall operations of the project

Qualifications and Job Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid Class 4 license with a clean driver’s abstract and 2+ years of verifiable driving experience are required.
  • A self-starter with a dedicated work ethic, who can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Desire and ability to foster a safe, positive and productive work environment
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet physical demands and essential functions of the job
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (occasionally 50-75 lbs.) Flexibility to work extended hours, as required.
