This position could be located in the following locations: Manufacturing East Region - Sarnia/Corunna Ontario, Manufacturing West Region - Red Deer, Alberta

  • This position provides the option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays each week, with the requirement to report to the primary NOVA Chemicals work location on Tuesdays through Thursdays. Employees can opt out of the hybrid schedule and will be expected to work Monday-Friday from the primary work location.

We are seeking a Project Services Analyst to join the Project Services team. This role reports to the Leader, Project Controls and Engineering Information Management (EIM) and is responsible for managing the capital project PD&I (Project Development and Implementation) process and delivery platform.

Working closely with project execution subject matter experts, this role also supports continuous improvement of the PD&I process documentation, operating systems, learning & development program and project administration function. This requires the incumbent to think holistically, while inspiring others in our pursuit of enhanced project performance and outcomes.

You Will Use Your Expertise To:

  • Oversee the PD&I standards, procedures, tools and reference information; collaborating with subject matter experts to review, edit and develop content.
  • Facilitate the PD&I Functional Owners network and serve as a change agent for the PD&I continuous improvement and change request processes.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to enhance the learning & development platform with a focus on improved content and overall effectiveness.
  • Engage with IT and the user community to coordinate maintenance and upgrades to the ePDI project management platform.
  • Collaborate with Project Services Leadership to design and maintain effective SharePoint sites, libraries and other document management network drives.
  • Oversee the PD&I Project Administration function, collaborating with practitioners to adopt and implement recommended work practices.
  • Provide centralized administration and reporting support for the strategic capital project portfolio.
  • Advocate for the use of the PD&I business process, supporting project effectiveness and supporting integration of appropriate Project Administration requirements.

What We are Looking For:

  • Minimum Grade 12 education plus 9+ years combination of applicable post-secondary education and related experience
  • Expert level skills in computer applications such as MS Office, SharePoint and Power BI
  • Thorough understanding of project management concepts, terminology and methodologies
  • Familiarity with project development and implementation work processes and practices
  • Experience in training, learning and professional development
  • Demonstrated proficiency in driving change, improving and automating business processes
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills enabling quick responses
  • Proven organization skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
  • Able to establish effective working relationships, train and mentor others with an initiative-taking style and demonstrated team and people skills
  • Exhibited a strong commitment to integrity and ethical conduct

Additional Information:

  • Relocation will NOT be considered for this position
  • Compensation will be commensurate with education and experience
  • This role requires up to 10% travel
  • The successful candidate is required to provide proof of a valid driver's license
