PAL Aerospace is currently seeking a Tool Crib Operator for our Comox, BC base.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Controlling the issue and return of all tools;
  • Maintaining the master official tool checklists for all tool control containers;
  • Coordinating/conducting the calibration of tooling as required in accordance with the applicable usage/condition schedule.
  • Investigating, reporting, recording and replacing lost tools;
  • Liaison with the DND Tool Control Co-Ord (TCC);
  • Coordinating requests for new tools;
  • Ensuring that replacement tools are properly etched;
  • Inspecting tool boards/kits at least annually;
  • Become familiar with Canadian Forces Technical Orders and related publications;
  • Reporting all air incidents involving tools; and
  • Other tasks as assigned.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5 years of relevant aerospace maintenance experience or equivalency in a related field;
  • Experience of aerospace Tool Control Management considered an asset;
  • Effective written and oral communication skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities;
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills;
  • Strong time management skills;
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to inform decision-making;
  • Must be able to maintain appropriate level of security clearance required for the role;
  • Must be able to attain International Trade in Armaments Regulations (ITAR)and Canadian Controlled Goods (CCG) clearance requirements.
