Essential Job Functions:

• Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, upgrades and new installations of all electrical and control systems on mountain (lifts, infrastructure, buildings, and facilities)
• Remain in compliance with current Canadian Electrical Code
• Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer's installation manuals to complete assigned projects
• Prevent breakdown of systems by adhering to a comprehensive maintenance schedule
• Training for and responding to emergency situations
• Communicating and logging tasks performed to keep organized records of jobs completed, including the use of CMMS software
• Working with the electrical team to ensure smooth operation and minimal downtown of the overall function of the resort
• Working on a large variety of equipment and voltages, ranging from 12V to 12.5kV
• Working closely with other departments including contractors
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications and Abilities

• Minimum of 5 years related experience required
• Completion of Journeyman certificate in electrical
• Experience with high voltage an asset
• Experience with PLC and electronics an asset
• Knowledge of current Canadian Electrical Code
• Available to work a flexible schedule in all weather conditions, including weekends and PM shifts
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs safely, including tower climbing (training provided)

Working Conditions

This position takes place on a ski resort mountain in the winter and a summer activity resort in the summer. The Electrical department works up top as well as at the base of the mountain. Work will take place indoors and outdoors, on mountain terrain and weather dependent.

Compensation and Benefits

$38.06 to $43.24 per hour plus shift premiums
