WHAT WILL YOU DO

The enterprise GIS coordinator is responsible for the planning, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the Geographic Information Systems infrastructure within the organization. This role involves overseeing the implementation of GIS applications, databases, servers, and related technologies. The GIS Enterprise Administrator works closely with various stakeholders to ensure GIS solutions meet the organization's requirements and support its operations effectively.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Install, configure, and deploy GIS software, databases, and servers.
  • Customize GIS applications to help with organizational workflows and requirements.
  • Manage user access, permissions, and security settings for GIS resources.
  • Monitor GIS performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance.
  • Help provide training and support to non-technical staff.
  • Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Work with IT teams, GIS analysts, and other stakeholders to help fulfill needs.
  • Manage data, clean up old/stale data
  • Development, implementation, and optimization of standard operating procedures and templates for field data collection and management.
  • Provide support for field staff, client-facing apps and projects


QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in ESRI GIS stack
  • Two or more years’ experience in ArcGIS Enterprise/ArcGIS Online, Corporate GIS Admin, Portal, AGOL
  • Strong knowledge of python and Spatial reference systems
  • Professional with a friendly and courteous manner, being service and team oriented;
  • A strong communicator with the ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the business;
