B&B Contracting Group is seeking an Asphalt Paving Foreman to join our growing company. Foreman earn a wage of $41.94-$42.53 per hour depending on skillset and experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee and supervise daily activities of asphalt paving crew including the safety, quality, and personnel management aspects
• Prioritize work schedules in order to meet production deadlines and standards while ensuring quality control
• Organize and track crew's time and activity
• Identify materials and tool requirements to be on-hand as needed
• Promote a safe work environment and adhere to safety policies and work procedures

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Possess supervisory skills with experience handling crews ranging from 5-8 people
• Experience with paving roadways, parking lots, and repair & maintenance projects
• Possess understanding of the work to be done to effectively plan, organize, problem solve, and provide direction to workers
• Ability to operate a variety of equipment; vibratory compactor, jumping jack, plate tamp, etc.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and train crew members - able to lead by example
• Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with all stakeholders including co-workers, supervisors, clients, and the public
• Capable and proficient interacting with asphalt plants, trucking subcontractors, and other miscellaneous subs
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in all types of weather and terrain
• Possess strong work ethic and positive team attitude
