Job Description

BBA has an opportunity for an Intermediate Civil Designer in the Vancouver office to support our projects in Mining.

Requirements

  • Civil engineering technician/technology diploma from a recognized college
  • 5 plus years of experience in Civil 3D design.
  • Civil design experience in Mining infrastructure and heavy industrial projects. Hydroelectric projects are considered beneficial.
  • Preparing Excavation drawings, Bulk earthworks, Finished and rough grade drawings, surface drainage drawings, using Civil 3D.
  • Interpreting complex drawings that incorporate interfacing structural design requirements with piping/mechanical, electrical and other aspects of industrial work
  • Drafting and design experience within a consulting engineering environment
  • Check 2D drawings and 3D models for discrepancies and constructability with other disciplines
  • Advanced knowledge of preventive measures, health and safety rules at work and hazardous material regulations in the workplace.
  • Show creativity and innovation in problem-solving
  • Adhering to established design guidelines and procedures
  • Maintaining accurate design files for reference purposes
  • Advanced knowledge of computer-aided design.
