The Manufacturing Maintenance Engineering Specialist for Cytiva is responsible for all aspects of ISO and GMP manufacturing facility operations and maintenance program. The associate will support the building management program and the equipment qualification program, resolve equipment issues, ensure proper quality documentation, act as a building and equipment maintenance resource interacting with all departments and vendors to create a positive and effective attitude towards equipment maintenance, validation and compliance.

This position is part of the Facilities group which is within the operations department. The role is an on-site role with infrequent travel between 2 local sites. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work with an extensive local facility, IT, production, quality, laboratory, GMP manufacturing teams, vendors, contractors, and specialized consultants.

  • Utilize engineering design and maintenance strategies and cross train within the team to rapidly expand your skill set

  • Work in a regulated specialized industry and represent the team in audits

  • Utilize state of the art building management and computerized maintenance management and monitoring systems

Essential Requirements of the job include:

  • Engineering degree, or mechanical/ electrical diploma with maintenance experience.
  • Strong desire to learn and be hands on.
  • Contribute to an on-call rotation for after hours and weekends.
  • Strong safety focus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Manufacturing facilities maintenance or scientific equipment maintenance in highly regulated environments (ISO/ GMP).

Class 4 Power Engineering certificate, AutoCAD or Revit Experience.

BC Safety Authority Exposure.

The salary range for this role is 58,900 - 85,000 CAD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and retirement plan for eligible employees.
