Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Scaffold Erector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scaffold erection, ensuring the safe and efficient construction and dismantling of scaffolding structures on various construction sites. As a Scaffold Erector at New City Contracting, you will play a vital role in supporting our construction projects and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Erect, dismantle, and modify scaffolding structures according to safety regulations, project requirements, and industry standards
• Inspect scaffolding components for damage, defects, or wear and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and other trades to schedule scaffold erection and dismantling activities efficiently
• Ensure proper assembly and stability of scaffolding systems to support workers, materials, and equipment safely
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on scaffolding components to ensure functionality and safety
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, including fall protection measures and hazard identification
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to ensure a safe and efficient working environment

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Scaffold Erector or in a similar role in the construction industry
• Knowledge of scaffold erection techniques, safety regulations, and industry best practices
• Familiarity with various types of scaffolding systems and components
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction plans
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Physical stamina and ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
• Valid scaffolding certification or willingness to obtain certification
