Our team is the front-end client team that develops the Authentication stack for the Teams client across all popular platforms. We build the sign-in, sign-up, in-app identity experiences, the guest access client experience across all clouds and the client experience to switch between identities. We integrate with Azure Active Directory using auth technologies for Microsoft Teams.

We are looking for a passionate, versatile and energetic full stack Senior Engineering Manager who will create a collaborative environment and drive key strategies & investments. The ideal candidate should be able to lead and solve engineering problems while partnering with other teams, to deliver a highly reliable and performant end-to-end client experience.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

    o OR equivalent experience.

  • 4+ years of experience with React or AngularJS, Node.Js, Typescript, HTML, CSS
  • 2+ years of people management experience managing software engineering teams.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Experience with identity management platforms such as Azure Active Directory (AAD) and familiarity with cloud technologies (e.g., Azure) is highly desirable.
  • Good problem solving and debugging skills.
  • Ability to wear many hats, learn quickly, collaborate with partner teams, be a technical leader in design discussions, leadership skills to execute and drive the needed areas

Software Engineering M4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $104,000 - CAD $193,200 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of authentication engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure their professional growth and development.
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to prioritize authentication initiatives and align them with overall product goals.
  • We need someone who is technically hands-on, detail-oriented, obsessed with building a world-class resilient Identity and Auth platform, at the same time eager to learn new technologies and work in a highly dynamic and collaborative environment. 
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of authentication mechanisms across various platforms (Windows, macOS,Web), ensuring consistency and reliability.
  • Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines within the authentication team
