The interview process for this position will be entirely remote, and we are open to remote work options.


Position

We are looking for a senior developer with experience using Docker, Kubernetes, AWS and looking to take on new challenges. The candidate should be ready to lead the team on the technical front and work closely with the other engineering teams to promote a collaborative environment and bring ideas forward. Their mission would be to use technology to deliver high quality client integrations, and iteratively reduce time per integration by building reusable components.

They should drive technological initiatives and mentor the team with regards to improvements and new technologies. The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of Java/Spring Boot within a microservices environment. You will report directly to the team lead and assist in identifying and reporting KPIs.

The team and company are growing, you will need to identify ways to improve efficiency and work with the engineering leads across all teams to identify weaknesses and improvements. You will be part of the core implementations engineering team working closely with product to build out solutions for numerous payment provider partners and build upon integrations with internal engineering teams.

The successful candidate will be a strong technical lead with excellent communication skills able to work collaboratively with many teams and help encourage and mentor other members of the team, including documentation, identifying enhancements/tools and being part of a regular on-call rota to support our other teams.



Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement enhancements to our banking platform in languages like Java(17 and above) and Kotlin
  • Design and implement integrations with clients via various methodologies (sftp/API/configuration)
  • Knowledge of Restful APIs using backend frameworks like Spring-boot(Java / Kotlin)
  • Owning team's deliverables and directing the team towards higher quality standards, assisting in technology choices.
  • Participate in technical discussions and decision-making with the goal of high-quality deliverables, faster implementations for the clients.
  • Good understanding of modern cloud infra/deployments like AWS, docker, kubernetes.
  • Previous experience with Fintechs and accounting / ERP systems is a great asset.
  • Participate in the team's on-call support. We follow the principle "You build it, you maintain it".
  • Passion for technology and readiness to adapt with the changing technology landscape.

Compensation and Benefits Package

We want our employees to see how the ideas they help generate today have an impact on how we do business tomorrow.With that, the hiring salary range for this position is $119,000-$145,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on comparable market data from companies of similar employee size, revenue and location.As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive semi-annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
