We're looking for a Production Supervisor to join our redesigned, modern lumber mill facility located in Williams Lake, British Columbia. Our Lakeview Division safely and sustainably produces over 230 million board feet of lumber per year for customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities. Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • Three to five years of supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Post-secondary education in forestry, business, engineering or related field would be an asset.
  • Technical knowledge of sawmill equipment and log and lumber scanning systems is an asset.
  • Knowledge of planer equipment and kilns.
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivation and effective communication, organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset.

In this role you will:

  • Be responsible for achieving targets in quality, cost control and employee engagement with an uncompromising focus on safety standards.
  • Provide supervision, direction, and support to sawmill and planermill employees.
  • Report to the Sawmill Superintendent and work closely with the Maintenance Team and other staff to ensure continual improvement in reliability, productivity, safety and overall plant efficiency.
