Founded in 1978, All Weather Windows operates Customer Solution Centres across Western Canada with manufacturing plants headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta. We are currently seeking a Service Technician III to join our Winnipeg Team.

The Service Technician III is responsible for making local and out of town service calls to do on-site repairs, completing paperwork in customers’ homes on All Weather Windows products (windows and doors) and operating a company truck.

If you have a track record of excellent customer service, carpentry skills, proficiency with hand tools, site and/or construction experience, and a positive team-focused attitude, you are an ideal candidate for this position. We are looking for someone who can work on their own to complete simple and more complex repairs efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Operates service truck and services local calls in homes and businesses
  • Installation and repair of windows and doors in homes and businesses
  • On-site repair of product and installation of Glass and site glazing
  • Replacing sealed units and door slabs, making screens, adjusting windows and doors, and replacing casings
  • Performs heavy lifting of glass to complete site glazing
  • Inspecting job sites, measuring sealed units and replacing capping and caulking
  • Maintains detailed paperwork
  • Handles on-site problems as they occur
  • Representing All Weather Windows in professional and courteous manner
  • Complying with all Health & Safety regulations
  • Perform in shop service work
  • Shipping and Receiving in Service
  • Trains Service Assistant
  • Performing other duties as required

Primary Qualifications Required:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a related and/or similar role
  • Experienced technician with in-depth product knowledge preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude, skill and experience with hand tools
  • Good customer relations, written and verbal communication skills
  • Innovative and problem-solving skills
  • Mechanically inclined and able to work on scaffolding at heights over 12 feet
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
  • Must be a team player and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Flexible and adaptable in any situation
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Position will require working overtime and short notice
  • Travel may be required
  • Must have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and acceptable Driver’s Abstract
  • Must pass pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Testing

Status of Position

  • Permanent Full-time
  • Monday – Friday, some overtime may be required
  • Hourly rate commensurate with experience and qualifications
