In this role, you will be a part of the Design team, in the Structures Group, based in the Fredericton office.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Candidates must have a thorough knowledge of building systems and detailing, with the ability to work independently, developing and coordinating contract documents and document checking.
  • Work in a collaborative environment with the Project Manager, Engineer, and other Technical and Design Staff.
  • Complete technical drawings in Revit.
  • Additional duties as determined based on the knowledge and experience of the applicant.
  • Our Moncton or Saint John offices may be considered as a location for this position.

What your experience looks like

  • 5+ years' progressive experience working as a Structural Technologist.
  • Graduation from an Electronic Engineering Technology program accredited by NBSCETT (New Brunswick Society of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists) or graduate from an accredited 3-year clinical engineering technology program. Must be eligible for certification by NBSCETT.
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D producing technical documents and construction drawings.
  • Knowledge and understanding of architectural standards, building sciences, construction technologies and practices.
  • Ability to work with a team to produce working drawings and 3D models of structural designs for innovative multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Dedicated to meeting project deadlines and working efficiently.
  • Possess exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize independently.
  • Ability to manage a number of tasks on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to provide and receive feedback positively.
  • Experience with bridge projects would be considered an asset.
