MacDonald Paving and Construction is part of Miller Paving Atlantic, based in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. MacDonald Paving and Construction provides the public and private sectors with road construction, paving, road and structure rehabilitation, engineering construction, aggregate- based materials, highway operations and maintenance services.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2-3 years experience operating Asphalt Rollers on Municipal and Highway contracts
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Willingness to work in a team environment
- Travel out of town when required
- Must be able to work long hours in all weather condition, May to December
Day in the Life
You will operate an asphalt roller, finish roller or rubber tire roller on municipal, highway and private contracts as well as other heavy equipment in road construction operations. When you're not operating the asphalt roller, you will clean, service, and lubricate the equipment and perform minor repairs. Attention to detail will be essential when conducing pre-operational checks on equipment, completing maintenance records and daily equipment logs.
