As a Refinery Facilities Technician, you will be an integral part of our Refining & Supply Operations team. Your goal will be to perform general refinery technician duties and handle all materials from crude oil to refined products.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Prepare equipment for light maintenance work; complete the work as required.

  • Prepare work orders, hot work, and fresh air permits.

  • Assist senior facilities technicians on complex tasks as an apprentice, e.g. the planned shutdown of a unit.

  • Perform routine tasks under the guidance of a senior facility technician, e.g. monitor levels, temperatures, and pressures within various units to ensure equipment is functioning at peak efficiency.

  • Perform general refinery technician duties as required to learn refinery processes.

  • Collect samples, monitor, and test products to ensure quality meets required specifications.

  • Actively participate in housekeeping activities.

Your Skills:

  • Ability to think, solve problems, and troubleshoot issues within process operations.

  • Strong Communication skills is critical

  • Able to bend, stoop, crawl, lift up to 40lbs, enter confined spaces, and climb ladders up to 50 feet.

Your Experience:

  • Post-secondary education in Process Controls, Process Engineering, Engineering Technology, apprenticeship in a Trade or technical role.

  • Mechanical background and aptitude.

  • 3+ years of work experience.
