As a Supply Chain Specialist you will be a critical contributor to providing best in class customer service while coordinating the supply plan for our terminals. Your primary goal will be to manage product inventory by updating, monitoring and executing timely resupply plans, in collaboration with peer groups. Your Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate supply plan for terminals with Demand planner, Traders and Marine Schedulers.

  • Keep both internal and external stakeholders informed of any adjustments to plan.

  • Communicate and approve demand nominations with counterparties.

  • Plan and execute regulatory transitions with accuracy and efficiency in mind.

  • Provide direction and mitigation plans by effectively communicating with customer groups to understand requirements and impacts.

  • Lead team resolution if product concerns surface, e.g. an off-spec product.

  • Proactively manage inventory taking a long term planning approach.

  • Anticipate variances and recommend appropriate action plans to minimize gaps between Demand forecast vs Actual.

  • Promote a one-company view to successful outcomes.

  • Be accountable to the 24/7 operations with rotational on call requirements.

  • Support growth initiatives and reporting.

  • Develop a keen understanding of your supply chain and liaise with appropriate stakeholders to maximize value and storage utilization to prevent disruptions.

  • Drive continuous improvement by analyzing liftings, demands and conducting root cause analyses.

  • A life long learner with a desire to understand the broader environment (e.g. sales, channels, products, and supply locations).

  • Good understanding of inventory management and /or capacity planning.

  • Keen observation and attention to detail are paramount

Your Experience:

  • Post-secondary education is preferred (e.g. Logistics, Supply Chain/Operations, business, economics, or an equivalent combination of training and experience).

  • Minimum 3 years of progressive work experience in an Operations / Analyst / Coordinator role.

  • Experience in supply chain/operations or demand planning management a definite asset.

  • Experience in Oil and Gas industry is an asset.

  • Proficient with MS Office. Ability to to use features in Excel such as advanced pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, IF functions, etc. are an asset.
