An overview of your future role at BBA

  • Designing and preparing engineering documents associated with transmission and distribution line projects
  • Selecting various line components: insulators, hardware, conductors and structures
  • Preparing estimates, bills of quantities, schedules, budgets, specifications and reports
  • Preparing plans, specifications and profiles as well as assembly, detailed and fabrication drawings
  • Participating in work site supervision, land surveys and inspections
  • Applying the firm's health and safety policy and taking the necessary preventive or corrective measures to perform work safely

Overview of certifications and job requirements

  • Diploma of college studies in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other relevant training
  • At least eight years of relevant experience
  • Experience with transmission and distribution lines
  • Good knowledge of current software like the MS Office suite, Acrobat Reader and other applications, databases and mapping tools
  • Strong knowledge of CAD and applications like AutoCAD and PLS-CADD
  • Knowledge of quality system procedures and instructions
  • Proficient with rules regarding prevention, occupational health and safety and hazardous materials used at work
  • Asset: bilingual (English and French)
