Obsolescence Management Specialist
About the role
- Review and evaluate current obsolescence management processes
- Lead implementation of obsolescence management tools and processes
- Work with program teams, supply chain and product leads to determine hardware and software obsolescence management needs and help define solutions
- Develop and maintain Obsolescence Management Plans
- Support technology, software and component selection
- Monitor and report status of component obsolescence
- Perform predictive analysis for impact dates of obsolescence issues, from design and build through In-Service Support (ISS), including updates/upgrades/tech refresh/tech insertion considerations, up until disposal phase
- Analyze ILS requirements
- Perform Reliability, Maintainability and Availability (RMA) Analysis
- Perform Failure Modes Analyses
- Perform Reliability Centred Maintenance Analysis
- Perform Maintenance Analysis
- Develop Maintenance Plans
- Perform Sparing Analysis
- Perform Support and Test Equipment Analysis
- Write Technical Manuals.
What you bring to the role
- College Diploma
- 8+ years of Engineering experience
- 5+ years of Obsolescence Management experience
- 3+ years of ILS experience
- Good familiarity with Microsoft (MS) Office applications
- Good written communication skills
- Be effective in a team environment.
Additional skills desired for the role
- 5+ years of Team Lead experience.
