P&H is the largest Canadian-owned milling company. The P&H Milling Group sources wheat from Western Canada, Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada to produce quality flour and cereal products. The lineup includes hard red spring wheat flour for breads and other bakery products, soft winter wheat flour for cakes and cookies, as well as semolina flour for pasta, organic flour, and atta flour for chappati. In our specialty milling operation in Saskatoon, we also mill pea fractions.
From its mills in Halifax, Nova Scotia; Acton, Hanover, and Cambridge, Ontario; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; and Lethbridge, Alberta, the P&H Milling Group supplies flour to customers throughout Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Iceland, and Pacific Rim countries.

Your Role
As Packer Operator, the successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and adjusting packing equipment in order to package finish product and complete all necessary documentation for shipping.
Day to Day
Perform packaging operations in coordination with customer orders.
Operate packing machinery in an effective, safe manner and in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Ensure continuous line operation by supplying necessary items such as bags, cartons, slip sheets.
Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment and assist maintenance with replacing parts as needed.
Complete corresponding production documentation and labelling for customer orders.
Maintain high standard of cleanliness within work area, including machinery.
Required Qualifications
Previous experience in operating a forklift.
Previous experience in a general labour position.
Previous experience in a manufacturing/production environment is an asset.
Mechanically inclined, ability to troubleshoot and maintain machinery.
Able to stand for extended periods of time and safely lift up to 50 lbs.
Good attention to detail, communication skills and accuracy with numbers.
