Position Overview:

Supervise and co-ordinate the Production personnel activities. Under the direction of the Production Manager, carry out activities to monitor adherence to contractual requirements, applicable specifications, quality procedures and work instructions.

What You Will Do:

  • Supervises production Activities on the aircraft, including 1st, 2nd, 3rd line maintenance and modifications.
  • Direct supervision of production work force.
  • Co-ordinate activities to ensure satisfaction of required work schedules and priorities.
  • Mentor and develop Technicians qualification / authorizations.
  • Hold or work toward holding a maintenance release authorization (ACA / ARA).
  • Maintain departmental records and files.
  • Draft reports and correspondence.
  • Liaise with all IMP Depts and the customer on technical matters as required.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.

What You Will Bring:

  • Education: Graduate Transport Canada Recognized Aircraft Maintenance Program or equivalent DND training.
  • Must be conversant with Aerospace terminology, understanding of drawings, aircraft and aircraft systems and DND/DoD Aircraft Maintenance Policies and Procedures.
  • Experience and knowledge of Quality Assurance Procedures related to AS 9100 standards is required.
  • Must possess the ability to write detailed reports.
  • Must be able to use a personal computer and be familiar with using Microsoft Office.
  • At least 5 years experience in aircraft maintenance, overhaul, and manufacture with 2 years experience in a supervisory role preferred.
  • Must be able to write clear concise reports, chair meetings and work well under pressure with a minimum of supervision.
  • Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Secret Level II Security Clearance through PSPC- Contract Security Program, and Transport Canada RAIC clearance.
