Our Halifax branch is looking for a Project Manager to join our Roofing team, reporting to our Roofing Manager. We are seeking a team player who is eager to take the lead on roofing projects and oversee their success both in the field and in the office.
A day in the life
·Communicate with the project team on a daily basis
·Schedule & manage crews on site
·Monitor, approve and track labour hours
·Ensure all site paperwork is up to date, including safety, field reports, etc.
·Establish and maintain relationships with internal teams, external suppliers and customers
·Take the lead on project kickoffs, hand offs and autopsy meetings with the project team
·Pre-plan the execution of projects and develop schedule with project team
·Responsible for time, cost and overall project performance
What we are seeking
·Experience in the construction industry is required. Roofing experience is an asset
·Comfortable overseeing project operations from both office and field perspectives
·Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
·Ability to multi-task, delegate, and meet tight deadlines
·Ability to problem solve
·Post secondary (e.g. Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Architectural Technology)
·Proficient in Microsoft Office
