Your Impact at Empire

The Low Rise Site Superintendent plans, organizes, directs and evaluates the quality of homes from point of purchase to one month post inspection. This position involves executing the full construction process, ensuring requirements and inspections are met as it relates to design specs, scheduling, building codes, and managing construction workers, laborer’s, and trades within budget.This role is located at our Empire Wyndfield in Brantford, ON.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Post-secondary education in Construction, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in low-rise residential construction, at least 2years in an Assistant Superintendent role
  • A drive for results mindset with the ability to problem solve issues, identify and mitigate risks, and recommend solutions
  • In depth knowledge of the Ontario Building Code (OBC); Ontario Health & Safety Regulations; and Tarion

What You’ll Be Doing Each Day

  • Maintain and execute construction schedule to ensure full completion of the house prior to the closing date 100% of the time on budget and complete all PDI deficiencies within one month per Tarion requirements
  • Direct and monitor trades achieving 100% completion within quality standards per Statements of Work
  • Manage the building inspection outcomes and resolutions as directed throughout the construction sequences to completin
  • Hire, develop, and manages a construction team including unionized employees
