RVA's Transportation team is looking for students to join their team for a 4-month co-op position during Winter 2023 in various location such as Waterloo, Toronto, Halton, or London.
Duties:
Assist in pre-engineering site surveys and inspection during the construction.
Design of roads, rail, sewers, watermains and municipal infrastructure projects.
Help prepare AutoCAD and MicroStation design drawings.
Provides office support during the construction stage of projects.
Assist with quantity calculations and preparing tender documents.
Collation of Traffic data and background information.
Conduct site visits.
Assist in traffic analysis.
Conduct AutoTURN analysis and creation of report exhibits.
Assist project team in preparing memorandum/report.
Qualifications:
Must be currently enrolled in third year in a civil engineering program at an accredited university.
Knowledge of AutoCAD/MicroStation/AutoTURN is an asset.
Must have a valid G Class Driver's License and access to a vehicle.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Superior English communication skills both oral and written.
Ability to work in an interactive team atmosphere.
Knowledge about traffic analysis as a part of traffic impact studies.
