As a Sr Procurement Buyer NPI here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the organization's procurement and purchasing activities for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects. You will play a pivotal part in ensuring efficient procurement processes, cost-effectiveness, and strategic alignment within the procurement function specifically for NPI projects. You will lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, manage complex procurement projects, and collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve procurement objectives for NPI projects.

You will report directly to our Sr Procurement Buying Manager, and you'll work out of our Cambridge, ON CAN, location on a Hybrid work flex-schedule.

In this role, you will impact the success of our NPI projects by ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services. Your expertise in procurement and purchasing for NPI projects will be instrumental in driving the success of our organization.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy for NPI projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and supplier diversity.
• Oversee complex procurement projects for NPI, ensuring project goals are met within scope, budget, and timeline.
• Monitor and control procurement costs for NPI projects, conduct competitive bids, seek cost-saving opportunities, and negotiate favorable terms.
• Ensure that all procurement activities for NPI projects adhere to relevant regulations, compliance standards, and internal policies, maintaining accurate and organized records.
• Review and monitor purchase requisitions and manage supplier communication.

The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP clearance.



YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale procurement operation
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent leadership abilities
  • Proficient in procurement software and tools, such as SAP
