With us you'll get the opportunity to:

  • Take part in detail electrical engineering projects related to renewable power (high voltage and medium voltage substations, grid-scale battery storage, wind and solar)
  • Prepare technical documents, calculation notes, data sheets and specifications
  • Take part in project management (estimate costs, hours and project deadlines)
  • Take part in coordination meetings both internally and with clients
  • Carry out site surveys and site measurement
  • Carry out worksite monitoring
  • Take part in the commissioning of equipment in substations

Overview of certifications and job requirements:

  • Electrical Engineering Technicians or Technologists Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years of experience preparing electrical drawings in AutoCAD (schematics, wiring diagrams, plan views, elevations, layouts, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Familiar with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code or Canadian Electrical Code
  • Asset: Familiarity with HV substation design
  • Asset: Knowledge of protection and control principles and applications
