We Are

Second Harvest is Canada's largest food rescue organization and is a global thought leader on perishable food redistribution. We work with thousands of food businesses from across the supply chain to redirect unsold surplus food to non-profit organizations that feed communities in every province and territory. Our mission is to keep food where it belongs: On plates and out of landfills.

Feeding Our Future is an eight-week program that runs from July to August and ensures that children who rely on meal programs during the school year receive at least one nutritious meal during the summer through their camp program.

The Feeding Our Future Driver ensures that the pick-up and delivery of all Feeding Our Future food is executed in a safe and efficient manner and that the distribution of food is executed equitably to all Summer Camp programs. The Feeding Our Future Driver also acts as an ambassador of Second Harvest by demonstrating awareness and understanding of issues related to hunger and homelessness in Toronto.
