As a Renewables and T&D Associate in this entry-level to intermediate role, you'll play a pivotal part in early development of large-scale renewables, storage and T&D projects across Ontario and Eastern Canada.

Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with our Director - Power Markets-T&D to support and expand BBA's renewable project services. - Conducting assessments and feasibility studies for renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, energy storage and other emerging technologies.
- Performing analysis and holistic energy modelling to optimize system performance, energy production and cost-effectiveness.
- Assisting in the development of preliminary designs and engineering plans for renewable energy installations and T&D infrastructure.
- Coordinating with internal teams, clients, external partners and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with standards, regulations and project requirements.
- Participating in site visits, inspections and project meetings to support project development and implementation.
- Contributing to the preparation of technical reports, proposals and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
- Staying abreast of industry trends, best practices and technological advancements in the renewable energy and T&D sectors.
- Supporting project managers and senior engineers in project execution, budgeting, scheduling and quality control.

Overview of certifications and job requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Environmental, Energy Systems or a related field)
- Over two years of experience in renewable energy, power markets, energy consulting or related engineering projects
- Proficiency in engineering software/tools for modelling, simulation and analysis
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving capabilities
- Effective communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills suitable for a diverse and collaborative environment
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements, codes and standards pertinent to renewable energy and T&D projects
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a dynamic work setting
- Dedication to sustainability, innovation and continuous professional development within the energy sector
- Willingness to travel domestically, as needed
- Asset: Master's degree in engineering with a focus on energy systems, sustainable energy or energy data sciences
- Asset: Bilingual proficiency (English and French)
