Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Uses computer assisted design/drafting (AutoCAD) equipment and software to develop designs
  • Create and revise production drawings
  • Adhere to company Drafting and Engineering Standards
  • Responsible for maintaining an organized file system for Production Drawings

The duties and responsibilities mentioned, while not exhaustive, represent responsibilities that the CAD Operator will hold. The responsibilities listed may change over time, as instructed by INVIRO.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Prior exposure to drafting mechanical building systems in CAD (HVAC & Plumbing emphasis)
  • Degree or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering
  • Knowledge of the ASHRAE and other relevant codes and standards used in the design of HVAC and building systems
  • The ability to understand and follow oral and written directions, to read complex blueprints, piping sketches, schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • French communication skills are an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD design software

This position is full time and located in Ottawa. Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada. Candidate must be comfortable with working in office.
