Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will perform maintenance and repair services of facility systems including mechanical, electrical, Machine maintenance and building maintenance. The primary emphasis of this role is to perform a variety of maintenance tasks including supervising team members.

Performance Expectations

  • Lead, inspire & supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure their success.
  • Coordinate and prioritize maintenance tasks, ensuring they are completed efficiently and on time.
  • Perform hands-on maintenance work, including repairs, installations, and troubleshooting, utilizing your expertise in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or general building maintenance.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a safe working environment for the team and eliminate hazards and/or risks.
  • Take a collaborative approach with other departments to ensure maintenance needs are met, fostering a culture of teamwork and cooperation.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment maintenance logs, and inventory.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in maintenance to continuously improve our operations.
  • Establish and maintain maintenance standards and develop and recommend maintenance programs
  • Install new equipment using outside services if required
  • Maintain the equipment and facility through preventive/predictive maintenance program
  • Consults the work orders and personal logbook for jobs to be done
  • Keep equipment and facility in working condition for maximum uptime

Credentials

  • A Technical / High School diploma or equivalent trade certification
  • Fully skilled in one or more trades (level 3 Maintenance or electrician preferred)
  • Five (5) or more years of proven experience in a maintenance role, with a strong background in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or general building maintenance or millwright.
  • Basic welding skills
  • Knowledgeable in different controls (i.e. Fanuc, Siemens)
  • Advanced knowledge in troubleshooting servo motors, drivers, encoders etc.
  • Able to read and understand all codes and regulations
  • Proven experience in a maintenance role, with a strong background in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or general building maintenance.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
  • Automotive manufacturing experience is required

  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor as required.
  • Able to perform tasks independently under general direction.
  • Ability to supervise and train apprentices and maintenance laborer.
  • Ability to work all rotating shifts.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
