Machine Operator

Under direct supervision, assist with the set-up, and operation of machines used in production processes. Work from verbal or written instructions, diagrams, or models. Inspect welding operations and finished product against specified tolerances using precision measuring tools. Determine and correct minor machine malfunctions. Perform daily routine maintenance and cleaning.

Performance Expectations

· Load and unload parts and materials for production within required cycle/Takt times

· Ability to operate a crane to load and unload parts

· Pack and sort raw materials or finished products.

· Assist in the preparation and transportation of material to various production areas.

· Assist in meeting production goals while maintaining safety and quality standards.

· Assist in the cleanliness of the work area.

· Follow priorities set by supervisors and sequence their tasks within a set framework.

· Ability to work on tasks that are generally repetitive.

· Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

· Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements in the facility's geographic location and:

o ISO 14001: Environmental Management system standards

o ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety.

Credentials

· Some completion of secondary school.

· Possess drive and motivation to learn continuously on the job.

· Ability to work mainly independently and in a team setting requiring cooperation.

· Ability to interact with co-workers and supervisors to exchange information about tasks and to coordinate work.

· Partake in training related to the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), use of cleaning products and equipment.
