Maintenance Millwright

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidate will conduct regular preventative and predictive maintenance activities on the equipment and building. Other responsibilities will include inventory control, training apprentices, as well as the repair, installation and troubleshooting of CNC and other various machines. The ability to be on call and work overtime as needed is required.

There are two positions available ( 1 afternoon shift, 1 night shift). Must have availability to support production during weekends.

Requirements

  • Licensed as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)
  • 3-5 years of repair experience with CNC machines
  • Previous experience with PLCs
  • Strong machining skills i.e. lathes, mills, surface grinders, etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Basic welding and fabrication skills.
  • Robotics experience is an asset.
  • Able to evaluate, prepare and execute preventative/predictive maintenance schedules.
  • Able to read & understand all codes & regulations (Federal, Provincial and Municipal)
  • Must have own tools.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts.
  • Applicants must possess good communication skills, both verbal and written.
