The Maintenance Technician will report to the Maintenance Foreman, performing day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of our Mississauga Manufacturing Facility. The Maintenance Technician will be assigned and responsible for duties to support production machines and equipment, as well as perform tool upkeep and repairs.
A Day in the Life
Performing preventative maintenance on various machines including saws, cncs, press brakes, mobile equipment and welders.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic problems with equipment.
Repair malfunctioning components such as motors, pumps, valves, controls
Sourcing parts and supplies as needed to maintain and repair all machines and equipment.
Other facility and equipment maintenance tasks as assigned.
What We Are Seeking
Technical background in mechanical, electrical and automation
Practical industrial experience is essential. Demonstrated aptitude in reading and interpreting diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals and specifications.
Manual dexterity required to use power and hand tools
Previous experience with Maintenance Tracking Systems to keep all PM and repair records up-to-date
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
Ability to work independently and be accountable for work performed.
Millwright candidates /Millwright training considered an asset
Strong verbal/written communication skills
Able to work OT when required
