Systems Operations Manager 

This role is focused on leading and executing agile projects as Systems Operations Manager, and will shape the success of our company's foundational systems while managing the physical and cloud-based infrastructure. Beyond the technical requirements, the ideal candidate will influence the overall strategy while setting up best practices within the team and delivering effective continuous improvement techniques.

What You Will be Doing

  • Leading a team and introducing better ways to drive team productivity in the implementation, operational maintenance and support for the organization's technology 
  • Shaping how employees work on tasks by closely interacting with or being in the middle of teams projects 
  • Drive the design, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, software applications, and other hardware 
  • Safeguarding systems by planning and directing improvements to systems including load balancing, virtualization, disaster recovery and back-up procedures and security controls 
  • Working closely with product management, senior management, and development team to understand business and functional requirements for existing and new products and services 
  • Leading and managing the day-to-day performance of systems' administrators: including hiring, training, evaluation, coaching, and providing technical leadership 

What You Need to Succeed 

  • Previous experience leading or managing Technology teams in a complex Technology environment, while playing a hands on role with the day to day requirements 
  • University degree (or equivalent) in information technology or a computer science related discipline 
  • Ability to work on an on-call basis 
  • Experience managing IT environments, windows servers, active directory, domain controllers, MS SQL server, Office 365 
  • Experience in virtualization (Hyper-V), virtual servers clusters, powerShell 
  • Experience managing networks infrastructure (firewalls, load balancers, switches, WAN, VPN, routing, NATing) ï‚· Experience in firewalls configuration and security policies 
  • Previous experience of managing third-party service providers across all technologies is essential 
  • Experience of design, build and deployment of server and storage infrastructure 
  • Experience in performance and capacity management 
  • Nice to have Cyber Security management experience
