Position Summary

Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the Shipping / Receiving associate is responsible for the safe handling of all raw materials associated with Sofina Foods. To maintain a clean, safe, organized work environment. Responsible for updating and maintaining manual and computerized reports associated with shipping /receiving.

Days / Hours
4 day/week, Monday to Thursday 10am to 8:30pm

Location
5921 Frank St. Mitchell ON.

Key Accountabilities

• Physical loading and unloading of materials and verify quantities of all materials shipped and received.
• Documents any discrepancies and notifies appropriate departments regarding shortages.
• Complete relevant data entry and documents for shipments.
• Provides physical counts of inventory as required.
• Monitor incoming materials and outgoing products as per HACCP and Food Safety and Quality Manual to ensure product safety and quality during receiving, storage and shipping.
• Check and stage the necessary materials based on product specifications and age of the product.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)
• Shunting experience or willingness to be trained
• Necessary math skills for reporting
• Experience computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel)
• Ability to organize, plan and report.
• Must be a Team player, able to work well in a team environment.
• Possession of a valid forklift license is a strong asset or ability to acquire a forklift license
